Eid Al Adha prayers offered across governorates

HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki al Said, Governor of Dhofar, offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah alongside Their Highnesses, shaikhs, dignitaries, senior civilian and military officials; and a large gathering of citizens and residents.


In Dibba, Sayyid Faisal bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Dibba alongside shaikhs, dignitaries, officials and citizens and residents.


The sermon emphasised the importance of honouring parents, maintaining kinship ties and strengthening family and social values, citing the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) saying: “The best among you are those who are best to their families”. It also called for upholding virtuous morals, cooperating in good deeds and spreading kind words in order to foster relations among members of society and build a conscious and cohesive generation.


Sayyid Dr Hamad bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi, also offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Eid prayer square in the Wilayat of Mahadha, in the presence of a number of dignitaries, officials, shaikhs, citizens and residents.

After the prayer, Al Busaidy received well-wishers at the Wali’s office in Mahadha, exchanging greetings and congratulations on this blessed occasion. He prayed to Allah Almighty for the return of this auspicious occasion while everyone enjoys goodness, prosperity and to bestow His blessings and permanent security and prosperity on the Sultanate of Oman.


In Al Awabi, Eng Masoud bin Said al Hashmi, Governor of Al Batinah South, offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Eid prayer square in Al Awabi alongside dignitaries, shaikhs and citizens and residents of the wilayat.


Following the prayer, the governor received well-wishers including shaikhs and officials from governmental, private and non-governmental institutions and exchanged greetings on this blessed occasion.


Mahmoud bin Yahya al Thuhli, Governor of Al Sharqiyah North, offered Eid Al Adha prayer in the Wilayat of Bidiyah, along with shaikhs, dignitaries, officials and citizens and residents. The sermon stressed the importance of strengthening family and social bonds, urging everyone to reach out to the poor and lend a helping hand to all who require support to help them meet their needs in order to enjoy this auspicious occasion.


In Masirah, Dr Yahya bin Badr al Maawali, Governor of Al Sharqiyah South, offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Eid prayer square in Masirah along with shaikhs, dignitaries and citizens and residents.


The sermon addressed the importance of solidarity and cooperation among Muslims, urging the worshippers to adhere to the virtues and teachings of Islam.


The Imam prayed to Allah Almighty for the return of this occasion while everyone enjoys goodness, prosperity and blessings and for the protection of the Sultanate of Oman and the Muslim world.


After the prayer, the governor received well-wishers including shaikhs and officials from governmental, civil and private institutions, in addition to citizens and exchanged greetings with them on this blessed occasion.


Shaikh Ahmed bin Musallam al Kathiri, Governor of Al Wusta, offered Eid Al Adha prayer at the Eid prayer square in the Wilayat of Mahout along with shaikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents.


After performing the prayer, the Governor received well-wishers and exchanged greetings and best wishes with them on this blessed occasion.


Tahir bin Mabkhout al Junaibi, Governor of Al Dhahirah, offered Eid Al Adha prayer in the Wilayat of Ibri in Al Dhahirah Governorate, in the presence of a number of shaikhs, dignitaries, citizens and residents. — ONA
